Promise me (Mikaela Hyakuya x reader)

it was night time. The expensive yet thick crimson curtains had made the room more dimmer, blacker than black. There is no birds chirping outside like they usually do, since you were a vampire, you'll need to wake up at night time instead of in the daylight. Then, something shuffled in a black silk bed, as a lump of blond hair popped out from it.

His pale blue eyes slowly opened, until it created a narrow slit. a long yawn escaped his mouth, as he sat up half naked. Stretching, his half lidded blue eyes trailed around the bed, only catching your cute sleeping figure hugging the sheets in a curl while drooling out her saliva. His fingers went to the side of his cheeks, and slightly brushed it.

"time to wake up, my little kitten." He whispered in your ears, making the last three words extremely seductive.

Later,  he planted a little kiss on your cheek that is facing your side when you're not responding to him and went to get ready. But actually you noticed his words before, and slowly got up since you're not a BIG night time person and you're a hybrid vampire like Mika. Scrambling your legs from the black silk sheet, you jumped out and went to the restroom to join Mika brushing his pointy vampire teeth.

"good morning, Mika." You greeted, rubbing your left eye gently.

"Mmph." Due to him brushing his teeth, he is only allowed to let out a little hum without choking on his toothpaste.

You picked out your toothbrush, covered the surface with some toothpaste, and started to brush your teeth with Mika in a sync. He brush to the left, you brush to the left also, he brushes to the right, you brush to the right too, he gurgles, you gurgle with him.

"quick, change up, we are going to be late." He said, handing you your standard uniform.

"alright."

"Oh ya? Mika-kun~ you're late." The cree- Lord Ferid said, having his trademark smirk on his face.

Mika ignores the selfish vampire who once killed his family, as he holds your hand, pulling you together with him. However, Ferid didn't give up on talking with the cold Mika and continued to follow him and you to the great hall.

"Mika-kun, did you have a well sleep last day?"

"Mika-kun, you forgot something!"

"Mika-kun, don't be so grumpy."

'Mika-kun this, Mika-kun that. What a creep.' You thought, giving Lord Ferid a disgusted look.

You increased your pace as Mika increase it too, as you went out from the hall to the dark and filthy vampire world. Inhaling the scent, all you could smell was filth and blood. Ugh, disgusting. If only you weren't a hybrid vampire. Mika suddenly squeezed your hand tight, his head hung low.

"(y/n). Can I ask you something?"

"hmm? what is it?"

"let's get married." He proposed, looking at you dead in the eyes.

How straightforward. You blushed at him, furiously, as you snatched back your hand from his to cover up your flushing face. He knew well you would be blushing, even though you're pale and less blood than you usually have when you two were younger. Mika stood there silently, waiting for your reply.

"I-i..Mika.. I.. cannot." You were now feeling dizzy and hot, though vampires don't get heated so easily.

"abandon everything and run with me." He blurted out, holding both the sides of your shoulders.

"B-but why, Mika?"

"Because I hate it here. I want to run away with you. Live in another city. Forever." he tried not to rise his voice, so he could not catch any patrolling guards' attention.

"M-mika..." You cupped his cheeks, when his blue eyes dilated.

"I love you, (y/n)..." He said, placing his forehead on your shoulder, as his hands circled around your neck, wide enough to not choke you.

"I love you too, Mika."

Suddenly, his teeth brushed against your neck, as his tongue came out, licking on your pale neck. You slightly pushed him away, as he lifted his head up, staring at you.

"L-let's not do this in the public." You said, a faint pink dusted on both of your cheeks.

"whatever you say."

"ne..we'll get married once this war ends, okay?"

Mika stared at you coldly, not letting any expression showing on his stoic look. You looked into his blue eyes with your (e/c) ones, a faint little smile was form on your lips. He gave you a curt nod, as he held out his pinky finger in front of you. Staring at his pinky finger, you knew well that he was going to make that a promise, as you linked your pinky with his.

"It's a promise, okay?" He said.

"Yeah, it's a promise!" You said happily.

"Mika, what is this?" You asked, looking at a silver  ring.

"An engagement ring."

"Ohh, where did you get this?" you asked, looking at him walking towards you.

"I found it while roaming around Lord Ferid's mansion."

"it must have been really expensive." You watched as the rings shines even under the dim light.

"yeah. After all, you are my future wife." He said, snaking his hands around your waist, planting a loving kiss on your head.
